Según Eric Fromm, la felicidad del hombre hoy se basa en la compra y consumo de objetos. Así las personas terminan siendo, al mismo tiempo, objetos de consumo que solamente podrán ser vistas y abordadas como tales. Una gran maquinaria, donde escapar parece irreal, donde lo humano desaparece y se vuelve objeto.

From here, the person ends, at the same time, being an object of consumption that only can be seen and approached in this way. A big machine where scaping seems unreal, where the human desapears and becomes an object.
